15 Insane restaurant items

If you thought fast food couldn't get any unhealthier, you ain't seen nothing yet! From burgers that'll instantly ruin your diet to pizzas that won't fit through your front door, join me as we count down 15 of the craziest items found on any restaurant menu.

#15: Dunkin Donuts: Glazed donut breakfast sandwich

Meat the Luther Burger's breakfast cousin!
This is an egg and bacon sandwich with a glazed donut instead of bread. Its quite telling that this is only number 15 on this list.

#14: Taco Bell: Waffle Taco

The only things missing are bacon and hashbrowns!
Taco Bell had this as one of its breakfast items. True to its name, it is a waffle folded like a taco and filled with sausage and scrambled eggs.

#13: KFC: Double Down

Who needs bread?
This sandwich is essentially a bacon and cheese sandwich with fried or grilled chicken instead of buns. What helps cement this thing's presence on this list is its variants: These include the Double Down Dog and the Double Double Down, which adds an extra layer.

#12: Burger King: Bacon Sundae

Bacon and ice cream, together at last!
True to its name, this is a vanilla sundae with crispy bacon put into it. What more can I say?

#11: Popeyes: Cookie Dough Tenders

Where's the chocolate chips?
For this entree, Popeyes decided to mix dinner with dessert by battering their chicken in cookie dough before dropping the finished product in the deep fryer.

#10: Burger King: Farmhouse Burger

This burger is your breakfast and lunch in 1 meal!
At 1,220 calories, this is currently Burger King's most calorie heavy burger. Alongside the usual ground beef and cheese, this burger boasts bacon, fried eggs and crispy onions.

#9: Pizza Hut: Crown Crust Pizza

This is 2 meals in 1!
This is a pizza with tons of small burger patties baked into the crust and topped with cheese. Middle Eastern Pizza Huts also have various similar items that replace the patties with hot dogs or meatballs.

#8: Ben & Jerry's: Vermonster

Good for your sweet tooth, bad for your health!
This super sundae is made of 20 scoops of ice cream, 4 bananas, 4 ladles of hot fudge, 10 scoops of walnuts, 3 chocolate chip cookies, a fudge brownie, 2 scoops of your favorite toppings and an obscene amount of whipped cream on top. Eating this whole thing will net you 14000 calories and quite possibly the most painful brain freeze of your life!

#7: Arby's: Meat Mountain

That's a lot of meat!
This burger is made from a little of every type of meat served at Arby's, with some cheese thrown in for good measure. This was originally an April Fool's joke before it became a real thing.

#6: Wendy's: T Rex Burger

This burger went the way of the dinosaur it's named after!
This carnivore's dream come true has 9 burger patties and 9 slices of gooey cheese sandwiched between 2 buns and some other burger fixings. Unfortunately, this item has been discontinued, but there's nothing stopping you from combining several burgers into one to get pretty much the same thing.

#5: Fat Sal's Deli: Big Fat Fatty

Eat enough of these and you'll become a fatty!
This montrosity is a 27 inch garlic hero roll with five burger patties, one and a half pound cheesesteak, one and a half pound pastrami, chicken fingers, an entire package of bacon, mozzarella sticks, five fried eggs, jalapeƱo poppers, french fries and onion rings topped with chili, marinara and fat sauce. Its free if you can somehow devour it all in under 40 minutes.

#4: Heart Attack Grill: Octuple Bypass burger

If you eat this, be sure to get some exercise afterwards!
This bringer of horrible heartburn consists of 8 patties, 8 slices of cheese, 40 strips of bacon, chili, tomato and onion sandwiched between 2 lard soaked buns. The only thing rivaling its size is its calorie count: Anyone who manages to eat this whole thing will consume about 20,000 calories!

#3: In-N-Out Burger: 100x100

Holy cheeseburgers!
This tower of a burger is comprised of 100 burger patties and 100 slices of gooey cheese between 2 burger buns. Now that the restaurant has limited its burger size to 4x4, the only way to get this is to combine many of their burgers into 1.

#2: Big Mama's and Papa's: Giant Sicilian

How can any one man eat this entire pizza?!
There's extra large and then there's this monster pizza. This 54 x 54 square is 20 pounds of dough topped with 1 1/2 pounds of tomato sauce, 12 pounds of mozzarella and up to 30 different toppings. It takes a small army just to devour this entire thing!

#1: Juicy's Outlaw Grill: World's Largest Commercially Available Burger

Even Furious Pete and the Epic Meal Time crew would have trouble with this beast!
This monster truck tire of a burger weighs 777 pounds. That's over twice as heavy as the biggest burger served at Mallie's Sports Grill & Bar, which weighs over 338 pounds!

I can guarantee you Homer Simpson will drool if he came across this list. I know there are plenty of other choices that could've been on this list, so feel free to mention any you know of. I'll see you later. Have a happy Thanksgiving.

15 Strange restaurants

Some restaurants are more than just burgers and fries. From a doctor themed restaurant dedicated to making you gain weight to a pizzeria with a satanic streak, join me as we count down some really unique food shops.

#15: Dinner In The Sky

One slip and you'll go from eating soup to being soup!
Places of business: Various places
This fancy restaurant offers expensive meals for up to 22 people suspended 165 feet in the air from a crane. If you're acrophobic, I'd recommend keeping an extremely wide berth.

#14: Disaster Cafe

Hang on to your pizza!
Place of business: Spain
Customers take an elevator down into a cave-like dining area, making it seem like you're going to the center of the earth. As if that wasn't enough, every meal comes with a simulated 7.8 magnitude earthquake.

#13: Ice Restaurant

Don't lick the walls!
Place of business: United Arab Emirates
As the name implies, this restaurant is sculpted completely out of ice, despite taking place in an otherwise hot part of the world. How they make this work, I have no idea.

#12: The Rock

This rocks! Pun intended!
Place of business: Zanzibar
Instead of being located on shore, this boulder-shaped restaurant is stationed right in the Indian Ocean, near the Michanwi Pingwe Beach. To get a taste of its cuisine, you're gonna have to swim or get a canoe.

#11: Mr Kanso

Who knew you could get so many things from a hollow metal cylinder?
Place of business: Japan
This place isn't the most elegant on the planet. It has over 300 items on the menu, but every one of them comes from a can.

#10: Heart Attack Grill

This stuff couldn't be worse for you if it all was deep fried!
Place of business: Las Vegas
The doctor theme is rather odd, but the real shock comes from how unhealthy the food is. The burgers are huge and have hundreds, if not thousands of calories, the fries are coated with lard, the shakes are made of pure butter and cigarettes are available for purchase. Its enough to make the average fast food restaurant look like a dieters dream come true.

#9: Fortezza Medicea

Better watch yourself! That waiter was probably a thief or something!
Place of business: Italy
Housed in the old fortress of the same name, this restaurant is also a prison. As a rehabilitation scheme, prisoners are hired to cook and serve food to the customers.

#8: Labassin Waterfall Restaurant

That's a lot of dam power!
Place of business: Philipines
Not only do diners eat outdoors here, but they also get to let their feet soak in water, as they are right next to a waterfall. The waterfall in question, dubbed the Labasin Falls, is actually runoff from the Lambasin Dam.

#7: Baggers

The future is here!
Place of business: Nuremberg
This place completely replaces waitresses with robotic service. Customers place their orders using touchscreen computers and watch their food slide down to them on metallic slides.

#6: Mars Restaurant 2112

This place was too otherworldly for this planet!
Former place of business: New York's Time Square
Customers who come here are surrounded by a decorations reminiscent of the red planet and employees dressed like martians. Customers are taken to the dining area by a UFO and taken to the exit by a teleporter. Unfortunately, the place shut down in January 2012.

#5: Devil Island Prison

Feel like a hardened criminal for one day!
Place of business: China
This restaurant is made to look like a prison. Every table is surrounded by prison bars, staff are dress liked prisoners and prison guards and customers are led to their tables in handcuffs and served coffin shaped fried bread.

#4: Cannibal Sushi

This is as gory as raw fish can get!
Place of business: Japan
This one ain't for the faint hearted. This place serves sushi, but they package it in fake corpses, which you have to them open to get your food.

#3: Modern Toilet

Of all the themes for your restaurant, why the place where people dispose of their digested dinners?
Place of business: Taipei
Perhaps the most bizarre theme for a restaurant is the bathroom. Not only do patrons sit on closed toilet seats, but the food is also served in toilet bowls, including chocolate ice cream.

#2: Hell Pizza

This pizza is literally devilishly good!
Place of business: New Zealand
As the name implies, this pizza place is themed after the bad afterlife. Not only does the place have sacrilegious decorations, but it goes as far as naming its pizzas after the 7 deadly sins. They even have a promotional interactive YouTube video where you play a Hell Pizza delivery boy trying to deliver a pizza to a woman during a zombie apocalypse. You can read about and play it here.

#1: The Clinic

Wait until you see what goes on in the kitchen!
Place of business: Singapore
This bizarre place is made to look like a hospital, right down to bedpans filled with dumplings and syringes filled with ketchup. Patrons chill out in wheelchairs while the doctor-dressed chefs make their food prep look like strange science experiments, right in an open demo kitchen under the glow of operating room lights.

Given the sheer amounts of restaurants on the planet, there is no way I could count every single one of them. If you know of any I missed, I wouldn't mind any suggestions. I'll see you later. Have a happy Thanksgiving.

15 Unhealthy "health" foods

Some of them supposedly healthy foods aren't much better than their fattening counterparts. From foods that replace the fat with tons of sugar to drinks with various edible chemicals, join me as we count down 15 supposed health foods that you should avoid if on a diet.

#15: Fruit juice

In this case, homemade is best.
These drinks have much higher nutritional value than any soft drink, but the juices sold at the stores tend to be high in sugar, salt and calories. Some of the fruit juices I bought during my days at Raytown High actually have around twice as many calories as the average can of Coke!

#14: yogurt

Healthier than ice cream, but still better from home.
If you thought the nutritional power of yogurt couldn't be ruined in any way, you'd be wrong. Store bought yogurts tend to have plenty of sugar, starch and corn syrup to make them taste good, along with preservatives to make them last long. Luckily, this food can be made much healthier at home.

#13: Cereal/granola

At least this one is quick and easy to prepare.
We all know that the varieties of cereals aimed at kids aren't healthy, but the brands aimed at older consumers aren't much better. Not only do they still contain sugar, the process of making them also destroys much of the nutrition that the oats used to have. Granola has plenty of fiber, but store bought varieties tend to have high calorie counts from butter, fats and shortening. Not only that, many granola bars also have unhealthy ingredients like chocolate chips.

#12: Smoothies

Hold the sugar and corn syrup!
The fruits and vegetables are healthy, but adding ingredients like fruit juice, ice cream, sorbet and sugar can make these drinks contribute to your waistline.

#11: Multigrain and wheat bread

You know what they say: all toasters toast toast!
Whole wheat bread is much better for you than white bread. However, most multigrain and wheat breads found on store shelves are made with refined grains, which lack the fiber of whole grains and can actually cause cravings.

#10: Sports drinks

Either get these while jogging or just go for a soda.
Gatorade, Powerade and other similar brands might be good for athletes, but they aren't the best choice if you're just sitting down. In addition to electrolytes for hydration, they also contain heavy amounts of salt and sugar, as well as artificial dyes to give them their vibrant appearances.

#9: Bran muffins

They deceive!
They might have fiber, but the store bought muffins tend to have lots of sugars and fats for taste. As if that wasn't enough, they also tend to be much larger than the homemade kind.

#8: Turkey bacon

Doesn't matter what animal it comes from, its still bacon!
Turkey bacon has slightly less fat and calories than pork bacon, but it is still processed meat and tends to be loaded with tons of sodium and artificial colors. There really isn't much of a reason to get your bacon from turkeys instead of pigs.

#7: Trail mix

Many different foods all add to the calorie count.
Homemade trail mix made of various nuts and fruits can have a substantially good effect on your health. Storemade versions, however, tend to come with yogurt covered fruit pieces, chocolate chips, MMs and various other things that dieters should avoid at all costs.

#6: Margarine

Meet frankenbutter!
This replacement of butter isn't even a real food. Its a combination of chemicals made to look and taste like real butter. While real butter is full of saturated fats, margarine is said by scientists to have a 34% greater chance of causing death by heart attacks, strokes and diabetes if consumed too much.

#5: Dried fruits

If you want fruit, try the fresh stuff!
You're probably wondering how fruits can be unhealthy, besides coating them with candy. While they're healthier than potato chips, they are filled with preservatives to raise the amount of time they stay fresh, as well as sugar and high fructose corn syrup to make them taste good.

#4: Veggie burgers

At least this one has actual vegetables!
Turns out them vegetarian burgers aren't much better than their ground beef counterparts. Most store bought vegetable patties are made using chemicals, preservatives, unhealthy oils and/or fillers like soy, plus they aren't even that high in vegetable content. If you want a healthy veggie burger, just make your own.

#3: Energy bars

Unless you need energy for the olympics, these things are just glorified candy bars!
Much like sports drinks, these are best eaten while you're engaging in hefty physical activity. Otherwise, the sheer amount of sugar, fats, calories and oil will just pack on the pounds and you'll become slightly heavier.

#2: Low fat and fat free foods

The only thing you'll be going wow at is how little impact the fat removal has!
Sure, foods that have little to no fat might seem like a dream come true, but there are some factoids that turn it into a nightmare. First of all, there are actually some fats that are beneficial to the human body and they also get removed in the process. Second, the products that remove the fat tend to add extra sugar, high fructose corn syrup and other unhealthy ingredients to make them taste good.

#1: Diet soda

Anyone who says these will cancel out large amounts of calories is a liar!
Soft drinks from Coca Cola, Pepsi, Dr. Pepper and other companies obviously aren't healthy, but their so-called "diet" counterparts might be even worse. Sure they have no sugar and boast zero calories, but they have various different chemicals and additives that completely ruin any health benefits they could possible have. They are better than regular colas for those with diabetes, but even then water is still a much better option.

I'm not saying these foods can't be enjoyed, but you definitely shouldn't consume them on a regular bases, especially if you're trying to get into better shape. If you know of any foods that should be incorrectly called healthy, feel free to mention them in the comments section. I'll see you later. Have a happy Thanksgiving.
