15 Lethal Joke Weapons In Gaming

Who knew that mop could be just as powerful as that shotgun? From unicorns that fart rays of multicolored doom to oven mitts that force those attacked from behind to laugh uncontrollably, we count 15 silly weapons that are seriously overpowered. Note: With one exception, I will not be including fan-made weapons.

#15: Final Fantasy V: Chicken Knife

Go from coward to unstoppable killing machine with this blade!

This silly weapon becomes more powerful when you run from a fight. It can even become the strongest weapon in the game if you run 255 times. The drawback is this weapon has a 25% chance of making your party flee after attacking with it.

#14: Team Fortress 2: Holiday Punch

Stunning enemies has never been this hilarious!

Instead of dealing triple base damage, these oven mitts stuns enemies by making them laugh. It'll even affect ubercharged players. To make things better, this weapon also deals crits when striking an enemy from behind.

#13: SLASH'EM: Houchou

Yes, this spoon can dish out one hit kills.

This thing might be a spoon, but it turns into an instant death dispenser when thrown. There isn't any defense against this thing. Unfortunately, it breaks after one use, so use it wisely.

#12: Land of the Dead Road To Fiddler's Green: Kung Fu Fists

I know Kung Fu.

Various levels have books titled "Day of The Kung Fu Zombies". Reading one these books will turn your fists into zombie obliterating weapons. This weapon forces you to get close to the zombies, but beating an undead brain muncher to death with your bare hands never gets old.

#11: Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons: Fool's Ore

It looks worthless, doesn't it?

At one point in Subrosia, your Roc's Feather gets stolen and replaced with this hunk of rock. It may look silly, but this thing can be equipped as a weapon and it destroys standard enemies in one hit and vaporizes bosses within seconds. Unfortunately, you lose it after getting the Roc's Feather back and the only way to take it out Subrosia is through hacking.

#10: Splinter Cell: Future Perfect: Monkey Gun

Once this thing fires, it'll hurt!

This looks just like a recolored Mag-Charger and it supposedly uses bananas as ammo, but it fires its entire 64-shot clip within a second. You unlock this OP weapon after getting a bronze or higher medal on the Electro Chimp Discomatic challenge. Word to the wise: This gun is frowned upon in online games.

#9: Ratchet & Clank series: Groovitron

Groovy!

Any enemies caught in this disco ball's music radius will start dancing, leaving them open for attack. The Golden Groovitron upgrade in "Tools of Destruction" also gives the weapon infinite ammunition. The Groovibomb upgrade in "A Crank In Time", on the other hand, explodes once the funky music is done.

#8: Saint's Row 2: Pimp Slap

Give em the finger!

Visually, the only thing separating this from the average foam finger is the extended finger. Action wise, however, this thing hits like a 4 ton sledgehammer. That being said, this is far from the only silly but effective weapon in the Saint's Row series.

#7: Fallout New Vegas: Euclid's C-Finder

Harmless appearance, control over powerful weapon.

This thing looks like a children's toy but it is the targeting device for the Archimedes II laser satellite. Just turn the latter on and you'll be able to launch solar powered beams of destruction at whatever you want. This would be the most overpowered weapon in the game if it didn't take a short time charging and could be used more than once per day.

#6: Robot Wants Ice Cream: Bananarang

If you wanna try this weapon out, you can play this game here.

My other blog might be the one dedicated to online games, but I just can't leave this upgrade out. Found in a secret area, this upgrade replaces your laser bolts with bouncing bananas that are just as powerful. This turns most of the game into a joke if you get several upgrades that increase projectile number and firing rate.

#5: Worms series: Concrete Donkey

Once this thing drops in, you'd better run!

With all the guns and explosive weaponry usable by these phsycotic worms, who knew that one of their most powerful attacks is a large donkey statue. It falls from the sky, it digs a good way into the terrain and it turns even the strongest worms it makes contact with into blood stains. The only weapon that comes anywhere close to this is the Armageddon.

#4: Crackdown 2: Quacker

Rubber ducky, you're the one. You make explosions so much fun!

It might look like a rubber ducky, but it is in fact a very powerful grenade. When detonated, it can cover an entire city block and destroy armored vehicles like sheets of paper. It can be found at the Chuck's Ducks 2 stall after you capture funland.

#3: Halo 2: Scarab Gun

Not pictured: The amount of destruction this thing can do.

The Halo series has tons of powerful weapons, but this thing blows even the Spartan Laser out of the water. It looks like a recolored Plasma Rifle, but it fires Scarab bolts at a rapid rate with no ammo or overheating limitations. This thing can be found on the Metropolis level, atop one of the bridges that connects 2 skyscrapers above the rally point and command post.

#2: Dead Space 2: Hand Cannon

Isaac Clarke's best weapon is a foam finger?!

Any Necromorph that gets "hit" by this foam finger's invisible bullets explode into a million pieces. This thing also requires no ammunition and fires as quickly as you can pull the trigger. The thing is, you have to complete the hardcore mode to unlock it.

#1: Red Faction: Armageddon: Mr. Toots

Behold, the most colorful ray of doom in the world!

This guy might be a cute little pony, but for some reason he fires rainbow beams out of his backside. Anything that gets hit by these blasts gets wiped off the face of the game. Of course, you have to complete the main story to unlock this guy, but he's well worth the effort.

So there you have it. Feel free to notify me of any silly looking game breakers that you feel should've been featured. I'll see you later. Have a good day or night depending on what time it is.

Honorable mention: Doom Mod: RickRoller

If this memetic hit was this deadly, it'd make for the funkiest apocalypse ever!

I left this boombox off the list because it's only obtainable through modding the game, but I just had to mention its absurd power. All it does is play Rick Ashley's eternally classic "Never Gonna Give You Up" and yet it's just as good at annihilating armies of demons as the BFG9000. This thing also doesn't need to be reloaded and it fires rapidly.
